📘 Portal Access Guide

This eLearning portal is fully integrated with the Student Management Information System (SMiS) of Arba Minch University. All academic operations including course instructor assignments, student enrollments, and user account management are handled through SMiS.

🧭 First-Time Access Instructions

If you've been enrolled in an online course or exam and are accessing this portal for the first time:

1. Log in to https://smis.amu.edu.et using your SMiS account.
2. Navigate to Dashboard > Academic Profile > OTPs tab to view your one-time password.
3. Use the displayed username and one-time password to log in to this portal.

🔄 Recommended: After your first login, immediately change your one-time password to a personal password via the SMiS portal.

🔐 Forgot Password or Updating Credentials

If you've forgotten your password to login to this portal or wish to change it:

• Visit https://smis.amu.edu.et and log in with your SMiS account.
• Update your password from the SMiS portal.
• After a successful update, your Moodle username to access this portal will be displayed.
• Use this username and your new SMiS password to log in to this portal.

⚠️ Important: Password resets and changes for this portal can only be done through SMiS and login credentials are always synchronized with SMiS every time your password is reset/updated.
